Thermaltake Blue Orb II - Introduction and Packaging

Introduction

The popularity with enthusiasts of the Thermaltake Orb series has seen the creation of a number of variants. Our second contender from the company is the older of two Orbs in our group review - the Blue Orb II. This uses aluminium fins coupled with a solid copper core and is claimed to be "exceptionally quiet".

Packaging

With a simple blister pack and no outer cardboard box, the packaging of the Blue Orb II is very different from the majority of coolers in this group review. However, as a result, it lacks the substantial feel of many others here.

An accessories box is also included - up top in the blister pack behind the product logo. A further logo – in the form of a WCG sticker – makes clear Thermaltake's involvement in the 2006 World Cyber Games.
