--- Appearance, Specification and Compatibility

Appearance

Weighing in at 827g, the Big Typ VX is well over the recommended limit for the LGA 775 socket. And, in keeping with the weight, dimensions are a substantial 150(h) x 122(w) x 122(d) mm.

[advert]A solid copper base is paired with two sets of three 6mm heat-pipes, each set holding up its own heat-sink and each heat-sink having 71 fins. The two independent sinks are the first clever thing you'll notice with the Big Typ VX and they're intended to provide more efficient heat-dissipation.

On top of the sinks, there's a120mm fan. Blades are orange and the surround and finger-guard black.

The fan carries its own dedicated controller and, during our testing, this was set to the middle of the fan's range.
