--- Appearance, Specification and Compatibility

Appearance

At 798g, the Tuniq Tower 120 is 348g over the recommended LGA 775 weight limit and one of the heavier coolers here.

Dimensions of 153(h) x 131(w) x 108(d)mm match the weight.

Three heat-pipes pass up through fins on two sides and a 120mm fan is sandwiched right in the middle.

It turns out, though, that the 120mm fan is removable – it's attached to the cooler's top plate by four small screws.

One thing we couldn't explain with the sample we were sent was the fact that one of the heat-pipes was mounted in the opposite direction to the other two, although this should only really affect the aesthetics of the cooler. Look in the above photo; see two brass caps on the top row and one on the bottom? Odd.

The thin aluminium fins on the heat-sink are cut all the way round in a flame-like pattern (or is it waves?). This looks good but is quite sharp and every time we handled the cooler we felt uncomfortable and worried about getting cut.
