Set to release in 2011, Bulletstorm is a first person shooter that will boast signature ‘kill with skill’ gameplay and plenty of blockbuster moments. It tells the story of a futuristic confederation protected by an elite band of mercenaries: Dead Echo. When Dead Echo members Grayson Hunt and Ishi Sato learn they've been working for the wrong side, they're betrayed by their commander and exiled to the far reaches of the galaxy. In Bulletstorm, Grayson and Ishi find themselves surrounded by hordes of mutants and flesh eating gangs in an abandoned paradise. They have two objectives: get off the planet alive, and exact revenge on the man who sent them there.

You step into the role of Grayson Hunt complete with an arsenal of over-the-top combat moves and outrageously large guns. The skillshot system rewards players for inciting mayhem in the most creative way possible. The more insane the skillshot, the more points players collects to upgrade their character and unlock weapons, which then allows them to execute even more creative moves and exaggerated skillshots.

Bulletstorm ships with three game modes: the pulp sci-fi, single-player campaign; Anarchy multiplayer mode; and Echo mode, an experience that tracks and compares players’ scores while they play through locations found in the campaign.

On January 25, players will be able to download a demo via the Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Store, and this will introduce a slice of Echo mode in which players traverse a collapsed building on the deadly paradise planet Stygia as ex-Dead Echo leader Grayson Hunt. Players will utilize the “Skillshot” system in Bulletstorm as they crush enemies in increasingly creative ways to rack up points using an arsenal of powerful weapons, from a futuristic assault rifle called the Peace Maker Carbine, to the Flail Gun, which fires two grenades linked by a chain, and the Screamer, a powerful revolver that turns enemies into human fireworks.

In fact, Bulletstorm has a host of crazy weapons that allow you to be creative with your killing. Check out this video...

From highest score to total number of skillshots performed , players can compete with their friends for bragging rights in Echo mode as they decimate enemies with over-the-top combat moves. The Bulletstorm demo also allows players to unlock platform-specific upgrades* to use in the game’s Anarchy mode, from the Crimson Leash to Stealth Armor, when they purchase the full game.

The Bulletstorm Limited Edition will be available for the PlayStation and PC and will also offer additional bonus content in-game. Bulletstorm will be available on Feb. 25, 2011 in the UK.

Bulletstorm looks to have very nice colors and nice graphics (as good as you can get using the Lame Unreal Engine) the gameplay looks fast but….. this is an arcade experience with killing for points? Don't get me wrong the weapons are great and the deaths scenes are a nice new touch but come on this is a really juvenile game. Plus it releases the same day as Killzone 3 so I won't be getting Bulletstorm.
And I WILL be getting it. Big time

Since I saw it at a preview in London last year, I've wanted this.

Juvenile though? Funny thing to say… surely medi packs and not dying from hundreds of bullet wounds in Jevenile too?

This is the first game that I've seen in this fashion for a jolly long time. I think it'll make me laugh like Carmageddon did a million years ago!
Playing the demo last night, this is right up my street :D Will probably get it on the 360 though so I can co-op with friends. Would go PC but 99% of my friends went to the 360 a long time ago :/
How well is this likely to work on the PC? I like the idea but most of my friends still game on the PC.
