There's a little bit of twist in the latest Splinter Cell Conviction game from Ubisoft. We're currently playing through the game (level 7) and we had quite a shock when we reached level three: Price Airfield. Turn away now if you don't want to read a spoiler!

The synopsis goes like this:

Sam escapes the airfield, and contacts the one man in DC he can trust; Victor Coste. He and Vic served together in the Gulf, where Vic saved Sam`s life after an ambush. This mission flashes back to those events.

However, you don't use Sam's stealth skills at all during the level. Instead, it plays like a level in one of the Rainbow Six games as you take soldiers out from a distance with headshots and use frag grenades and flashbangs throughout. It's actually a breath of fresh air because the rest of the game, what we've played of it so far, flows at an entirely different pace to Price Airfield, and involves sneaking around executing Death From Above kills and hand-to-hand takedowns. There is another twist in the Price Airfield level, but we'll let you find that out.

We'll have the full Splinter Cell Conviction Review later this week.

This is the most annoying game !

Most of the game is in Black and White to show you that your hidden.

Ridiculous

Not enjoying it then?

What level have you got to?

There's definitely a few things they could have done better. I'm still enjoying it so far, but it's missing something.
To be fair only the first level, by then I was pretty miffed…. The pretty Graphics constantly reduced to Black and White. This inst needed, you know your hidden because your not getting shot at, plus the way the characters act towards and their speech. To me it's a crazy decision to make the game like this.

I was really looking forward to this game and I loved all of the other Splinter Cell games but this is terrible.

Not impressed at all :(
