A number of positive changes over last-generation model.

Phanteks' big announcement at Computex is the Evolv X chassis, representing a decent evolution of the popular Evolv.

Available in silver, grey and black and at retailers in August priced at $199, Evolve X carries dual windows, massive storage potential - up to 10 hard drives and nine SSDs concurrently - solid watercooling support, front-mounted USB 3.1 Type C, some rather nifty RGB lighting, and, according to the company, airflow that is improved by 5x over the previous generation.

A striking fact is how clean the build is when fully populated with drives and system, thanks in main part to the storage door covers on one side. Other callouts are directable airflow at the top and sealed doors.

Here's Phanteks' Tenzin Rongen with a full video rundown of the features, plus a tour of ready-built systems.

Increased air flow = great news.
USB 3.1 c (the little one) = great news

But best is the subtle stuff… that top plate, under the cover to control air going back in.

PC's go under people's desks, and the top exhaust grills letting warm air out do need to have the surrounding grill blanked off to stop it being sucked back in. It's the little things :)
