Corsair has expanded its range of high-density Dominator DDR3 memory kits with the launch of new 16GB and 24GB solutions clocked at 1,600MHz.

Both the 16GB and 24GB kits offer latencies of 9-9-9-24 at 1.65v, making them slightly quicker than the Kingston alternatives, and comfortably superior to Corsair's own 1,333MHz predecessor.

Corsair's 16GB kit (model number CMP16GX3M4A1600C9) consists of four 4GB modules and is designed for use on Intel's dual-channel P55 chipset. The range-topping 24GB solution (model number CMP24GX3M6A1600C9) features six 4GB modules for use with Intel's triple-channel X58 platform.

Both kits come equipped with Corsair's DHX+ heatsinks and a bundled Airflow Fan, and are aimed squarely at the professional market - where a 24GB kit could prove to be useful with data-intensive applications.

Corsair has the 16GB available priced at $999.99, whilst the 24GB solution will set you back $1,449.99.
