Thecus throws in Acronis backup software on select NAS boxes

Following on from a belated introduction of the TwonkyMedia Server, network-attached storage specialist Thecus has announced that it is bundling Acronis' excellent True Image Personal backup software for a select band of products.

To be provided gratis on the N4100 Pro, N4200, N5200, N5200 Pro, N5500, N7700-series, N8800-series boxes and also on the server-orientated 1U4500R/1U4500RS, and 1U4600R/1U4600S, the Acronis software is an obvious and useful inclusion for storage devices.

We look upon the bundling as a good move, obviously, but bear in mind that the software was given away absolutely free by Acronis earlier this year.
