Rumours surrounding an upcoming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 part, heightened over the weekend, with sources corroborating earlier reports that the Computex 2010 event could be a possible launch platform.

We felt around for the possible credentials of a GTX 460 offering a few weeks ago and, if reports are to be believed, it appears that we weren't far off the mark.

It is claimed that the GTX 460 will offer a combination of 384 stream processors, 48 texture units and 32ROPs, whilst backed up by 1GB GDDR5 on the memory front.

Pricing could be in the region of $250 to $300, yet we shouldn't expect a single-slot offering, with sources indicating that the solution will retain a dual-slot cooling contraption. Furthermore, there is no definite word on power consumption, yet it appears that the waters could become less muddy in the upcoming weeks.
