Seeing as AMD is gaining in GPU market share, there's no point in letting up now and the Sunnyvale, California-based outfit is today unleashing its latest workstation offering, the ATI FirePro V8750.

The workstation powerhouse, designed for CAD, DCC (digital content creation), or professional use, features the same 800 shader engines found on the previous FirePro V8700, but ups the ante by throwing in a whopping 2GB GDDR5 frame buffer - capable of providing up to 115.2GB/s of memory bandwidth.

The card's shipping now with a price tag of $1,799, but if you still need more power, you'll be happy to hear that AMD's also today announcing the availability of its ATI CrossFire Pro technology. That'll allow you to couple a pair of ATI FirePro V8750s in CrossFire configuration, for some true CAD-crunching performance.

Official press release: AMD Delivers Its Most Powerful Professional 3D Graphics Card With Up To Four Times The Processing Power And More Memory Bandwidth Than Comparable Competing Solution

I wish I could talk my boss into letting me nab a couple of these :)
Mahoosive overkill 99% of the time tho.
Complete waste of money, the workstation features you are paying extra for arent supported by Microsoft Vista. AutoDesk software is all going Directx now so go for a 4870 or a GTX280 instead.
