PRESS RELEASE

Taipei, Taiwan, June 20th - Join GIGABYTE at ISC in Frankfurt this year to experience the power of compute. With a wide range of HPC solutions available, you will be able to get up close and personal with our latest motherboards, blades and high-density HPC solutions on our booth at Hall 3 Stand 411, right next to the Exhibitor Forum. ISC - in Frankfurt am Mainz, Germany - is the premier annual HPC event and GIGABYTE is proud to showcase its latest HPC products as well as showcase our latest ARM and Intel solutions.

GIGABYTE on the HPC frontier

Thanks to 30 years of experience in the manufacturing of motherboards, graphics cards and system solutions, GIGABYTE is one of the key manufacturers that can deliver a total HPC design and manufacturing solution to its customers. This is in addtion to the highly customizable, market-ready options already available. With complete control over motherboard, GPGPU card and add-on card production, GIGABYTE builds scalable high-performance solutions that meet your needs

G190-H44 – HPC Powerhouse

The G190-G44 is a 1U HPC powerhouse. This SKU offers Dual Intel® Xeon CPUs and up to four actively or passively cooled GPGPU Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors, backed up by Intel Visual Compute Accelerator, NVIDIA® TESLA®, GRID™, and Quadro®, and AMD FirePro™ cards, without a single TDP restriction! Together with GIGABYTE’s unique memory performance, where even with 16 DDR4 DIMMs installed, system memory still runs at 2400MHz, this product provides extreme levels of compute power in a unique 1U chassis.

H270 – Intel and ARM high density nodes

GIGABYTE’s H270 solutions offer the dual-option of high density Intel® Xeon and Cavium ThunderX® ARMv8 blades. Where the power and quality of the Intel® Xeon are already familiar to the market, the Cavium ThunderX offers workload optimized CPUs, for instance for Data Analysis, by delivering new levels of performance per U. To demonstrate both platforms' capabilities, we are making a live-demo accessible at the event.

GIGABYTE Server Motherboards

Customers looking to go big on their own solutions are able to check out GIGABYTE’s newest server motherboards, such as the MX11-PC0 half-height Mini-ITX server with NVMe support, and the MX31-BS0 MicroATX variant - both for the Intel® Xeon E3 CPUs. For amazing performance/per watt look no further than the MB10-DS3 with on-board Intel® Xeon D-1541 Octa-core and 2x 10Gbe SFP+ ports - putting compute power on the edge of your network.

GIGABYTE Workstation Motherboards

On the workstation side, the MW21-SE0 and the MW31-SP0 will be on display. Both supporting Intel® Xeon E3 CPUs, they act as entry-level and mid-range workstation boards respectively and offer plenty of connectivity and PCI Express slots to power graphic or compute workstations, and with the MW31 offering a broad range of network connectivity through its Dual on-board Intel® LAN controllers and mezzanine expansion slot. With a wide range of GIGABYTE Storage & Networking add-in cards available, these workstation boards can be used in systems configured to your specific needs.

GIGABYTE Open Compute Platform

GIGABYTE is a key member of the Open Compute Platform and GIGABYTE offers a slew of OCP-compliant products. As a base, Racklution OP Racks benefit from the Open Rack standards, thus increasing modularity and space efficiency, while providing better airflow and reduced power consumption. Due to the modular design, GIGABYTE can deliver various solutions, such as the T180-3M2, a 1OU 3-node solution optimized for compute and T280-32RQ, a 2OU 3-node solution with up to 10x 2.5" drives per node.

LEAP Computing – customer showcase

LEAP Computing, which offers cloud based gaming rigs to its customers, represents an excellent example of Gigabyte's close cooperation with advanced-requirement customers. GIGABYTE utilized its extensive server building expertise to develop a unique platform that offers 10 extreme gaming nodes in a 4U chassis, improving CPU/GPU density by 25% compared to other solutions. This platform includes 8-core Intel CPUs, AMD Radeon/FirePro and NVIDIA GeForce Titan/Tesla GPUs, 16GB of DDR4 and copious amounts of storage.
