London, UK. May 4, 2017. Buffalo Europe today announced that four devices from its latest TeraStation Network Attached Storage (NAS) series have won Red Dot Awards for Product Design 2017. The expert committee commended the design of the TS3210DNTS3410DNTS5210DN and TS5410DN.

“The Red Dot winners are pursuing the right design strategy. They have recognised that good design and economic success go hand in hand. Osamu Tomita, Marketing and Business Plan Director at Buffalo Europe: “We are very proud and thankful that our efforts in providing valuable products that combine high-end technology and quality design are recognised by the prestigious Red Dot Award.”

About the winning devices

The TeraStation™ 3210 series is a high-performance, cost-effective 2-bay NAS solution. Together with the TeraStation™ 3410 (4-bay), it is ideal for small businesses and demanding small office and home office environments. The robust central processing unit (CPU) and 1GB of DDR3 RAM means it can run multiple services simultaneously. This allows businesses to focus on concurrent tasks with minimal performance degradation.

Buffalo’s TeraStation™ 5210DN and TeraStation™ 5410DN series are 2-bay and 4-bay network storage solutions ideal for businesses and demanding users requiring a reliable RAID-based network storage solution, with a built-in 10Gigabit Ethernet port for business critical applications.

About the Red Dot Design Award:

In order to appraise the diversity in the field of design in a professional manner, the Red Dot Design Award breaks down into the three disciplines of Red Dot Award: Product Design, Red Dot Award: Communication Design and Red Dot Award: Design Concept. The Red Dot Award is organised by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen and is one of the world’s largest design competitions. In 1955, a jury convened for the first time to assess the best designs of the day. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec developed the name and brand of the award. Ever since, the sought-after Red Dot award has been the revered international seal of outstanding design quality. More information is available at www.red-dot.org.
