Set Up Eyefinity in a User-Friendly Way and Pair AMD and NVIDIA GPUs
London, 14 July 2011 - Hightech Information System Limited today launched the new HIS 6970 IceQ Mix graphics card, offering gamers Eyefinity via HDMI and the option to run both AMD & NVIDIA GPUs simultaneously for enhanced graphics performance. The new 6970 IceQ Mix features HIS' award winning IceQ technology and comes bundled with a Dirt 3 game.
Most graphics cards require to be connected via the DisplayPort output or using an active DisplayPort adapter in order to perform AMD's Eyefinity technology, which is not only a costly but also an inconvenient set-up. With the new HIS 6970 IceQ Mix, gamers can now enable Eyefinity via the included HDMI output as well as a HDMI to DVI adapter.
Additionally the 6970 IceQ Mix features the unique possibility to pair the card with a NVIDIA GPU, allowing gamers and enthusiasts to enjoy the benefits of running both AMD and NVIDA cards in the same system to make the most of the respective graphics cards' features and performance. To run both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs, installation of AMD and Lucid Hydralogix Drivers is required.
The cards come bundled with a Dirt 3 game coupon and a range of cables and adapters for quick and easy installation: DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable, HDMI to DVI Cable, HDMI Cable and a DVI to VGA Adapter.
