Is the magic number?
Three will cut the price of Apple's iPad if it is purchased with a data service plan.
Its purchase options will be unveiled in ‘the coming months'. The move means the firm joins Orange and T-Mobile in subsidising the popular tablet.
While T-Mobile and Orange have not revealed their pricing options yet, there are rumours that the tablet will be ‘heavily discounted' to the tune of £200 for the 3G version if customers sign up to an 18 month or 24 month contract.
It will be interesting to note whether the networks offer similarly priced deals or get into a price slashing competition (here's hoping).
Currently a 3G iPad will set fans back £529, possibly making a contract seem appealing to many people.
