What has always been fairly consistent within “Medal of Honor”, apart from the basis of World War 2, has been the approach to the soldiers plight, the blend of what’s got to happen in war, and the outcome. There is a certain magic to most of the series that creates a bond with the player, however small. That way, magic lies.

The latest Medal of Honor, now based in 2002 Afghanistan is going to try to bring you back to within touching distance of that relationship. With wife and child back at home, and US Ranger. Hoo-ah!

Taken from an answer phone recording from Daddy to the family (note the surname) on his way into the hot-zone, to some proper intense, door to door, village to village combat, you’re going to be a part of this story. We hope it grips you like it promises too. The sheer scale of the mountains on the preview code, the steepness of the valley sides in our intro session, and the sense of altitude was impressive. But not as impressive as the Air Strike! After that power punch to the senses, and utter destruction of the emplacement, it genuinely rained down debris and dust, and ears still ringing, the effect was total. This game WILL absorb you. Just hope it lasts a fair while and isn’t over in a trice. But, as the nice man said, “quality not quantity”.
