The highly-anticipated trailer for the fifth instalment in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series has been released, bringing with it a few clues as to what we can expect from GTA V.

As expected, GTA V will take us back to the state of San Andreas, with the trailer highlighting the area of Los Santos, which is based on Los Angeles. The action looks like it will take place in a modern-day setting and will involve many of the elements that we’ve come to expect from the series, including fast cars, hot chicks and violence.

We’re guessing there’s a huge reason to return back to this area, but Rockstar is keeping its cards close to the chest in the trailer. We see the new main protagonist for the first time, who says he’s moving to the area to soak up the weather, retire and enjoy life living the Hollywood dream. He's an older lead character than we're used to in the series, and the trailer hints of his criminal past that will no doubt come back to haunt him.

There are a lot of clues to dissect in the trailer. Check it out for yourself…

A release date for GTA V has yet to be announced.

WANT!, Graphics are very impressive for a console, /holds out for PC release at the same time, not holding my breath though.
Does look immense.

I`ve said elsewhere that watching the video and listneing to the narration it sounds like the main character is a middle aged, slightly overweight business man. This could add some credence to the idea of multiple playable characters expecially as in the video he talks about wanting better for his kids. After all It`d be a pretty short game if he was the main char, heart attack after running down the first street ;)

doubt it, Rockstar know that as soon as it hits the PC it will be pirated within a few days so they deliberately stagger the PC release to maximise console sales. Its a system that works for them and i dont see them changing it.

Does look pretty awesome though, il happily play it on my console anyway.
Naaaice.

Yup. Just like Dice's BF3 which sold 10m or Witcher 2 which sold a million or so
