These days, limited edition means a statue and a steel case at an extra $$$. What a ripoff!

Modern warfare 2 with the Soap Mactavish Statue and Assassins Creed 2 White Edition with the Statue of Ezio were awesome and well worth the extra money for the people who want them.

just dont buy the special edition - your problem is solved

Don't worry I wouldn't!
are they only making a limited Edition version of the game? i really fail to see a point. games making limited edition games with various goodies or collectables > the people who want the extra content buy the extra product, those that dont . . . . dont.
ive had statues and models over LOTS of game titles because i like them around my computer room and 9 times out of 10 its worth it to those who WANT the limited edition.
