The latest PSP firmware update version 4.00 is now available to download and along with a few minor changes you can now search Google from the XMB, so you no longer need to load up the search engine from the browser.

The Google search bar walso allow a search history recall of 20 items. Also included in the update is the ability to alter the speed of video playback via the Up and Down buttons.

And that we think, is it.

Earlier this week Sony also revealed that the PS3 will be getting a firmware update shortly that will add in-game XMB access and 'trophies.' Few details are known on the trophies, but it's believed that they'll work in a similar way that achievement points do on Xbox 360.

Rumour has it that the PS3 firmware update will be available in July.
