Almost a year has passed since Microsoft first unveiled its Project Natal accessory for the Xbox 360 games console, but with hype beginning to fade, the company has today managed to reignite our interest by confirming that the device will be launched in October.

Speaking to GamerTagTadio, Microsoft's Syed Bilal Tariq - marketing manager for entertainment and devices in Saudi Arabia - spilled the details in no uncertain terms.

"I do have great news to share with everybody - that Project Natal will be launched in Saudi Arabia on the same time that it will be launched in the world - that is going to be somewhere in October," said Tariq during the interview.

"We will be in a position to confirm the date after E3, which is in June. But definitely, it is going to be October 2010."

Project Natal, first announced in June 2009, is scheduled to be officially unveiled a year later at E3 2010 on June 13th. We're expecting to see a final hardware design - and perhaps the often rumoured redesigned Xbox 360 console - along with a confirmed launch date, which it seems is now certain to be in October. Won't believe it until you see it? Syed Bilal Tariq shares the details in the below clip.

October works well for me, perhaps a new slim x360 with natal bundled..
ive got a wii in the last few days and the endless slashing of the wiimote can get irratating in Twilight Princess, and now a controllerless version that MS are pushing is going to be released, i just cant see it doing well on the 360 as its already established its audience, who from my point of view are not interested in this kind of stuff.

But nevertheless, new entrants into the market may find it new/unique and want to have a go which could cause it to catch on in even a hardcore gamers apartment.
