Speaking as primarily an Xbox 360 user, I tend to find an eight-button joypad to be more than sufficient.

PC gamers, though, have always demanded more or demanded better. Answering those demands is usually Logitech, whose G15 keyboard remains the uber-accessory for any hardcore fragger.

Now, there's a new board on the block - the G13 Advanced Gameboard, to be precise - and it's designed to complement the an existing G-series keyboards and mice to create the ultimate fragging experience.

The G13, pictured below, boasts "game-changing comfort" on either Mac or PC and features three game modes, 25 programmable backlit keys, an analogue stick and the ability to create on-the-fly macros.

On top of all that is a 160x43 pixel LCD screen that displays all sorts of game stats and all-important messages from your clan pals. You can, of course, change the colour of the display to make sure it matches your neon-illuminated gaming system.

Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech’s director of product marketing for gaming, adds:

If you’re into serious gaming, there’s no better feeling than playing with the G13 gameboard by your side. Unlike other gameboards that focus only on programmability, the G13 advanced gameboard incorporates the principles of our award-winning Comfort Wave design. So whether you’re getting into World of Warcraft or walking into your next LAN party, the G13 gameboard gives you a powerful advantage over those forced to work with less.

Out the box, the G13 is configured for popular titles such as World of Warcraft and Call of Duty 4. If you're itching to get your hands on it, you'll need to wait until January and then it's all yours for £74.99.

Official press release: Logitech changes the game with total control Gameboard

Wow £75, rip off IMO. It looks similar to the saitek cyborg commando unit(that right?) for like £20 and the only difference is that the logitech has an LCD screen, if you have a G15 why buy an LCd screen for an accesory?.
yup overkill :) they should have gone for the n52te's level of functionality but with logitech quality
Unless its more for G11 users, then for G15?

This! If they did I'd get one to match, as a n52te would be out of place
I have never ever run out of keys - id need to watch someone use this to begin to be convinced of its worth. People seem to lap these things up tho so im probs missing out
