According to the folks over at Sourcewire, Facebook is now the most popular social-networking site in the UK, eclipsing the previous most-visited champ, MySpace, for the first time.

Interestingly, though, Second Life, the 3D virtual internet world, keeps using plugged in the longest.

Microsoft is rumoured to be purchasing a five per cent stake in Facebook for around £200m, valuing the company at somewhere in the region of £4bn. Is the new dot.com bubble about to burst, we wonder.

How many of you regularly participate in social-networking sites, and which is your favourite?

I don't really like any of them.

I have a Bebo account, but i hate that thing, so don't use it any more. Facebook is OK i guess, but never been obsessed by it like some are.
myspace is a great site for music, i use it for that more than anything, facebook is just full of jocks and pointless apps
keeps using plugged in

Is that in any way related to the Excel bug?

I have to admit, these types of sites really don't appeal to me. I wonder if it's an age/generation thing?
