We're still a couple of hours away from Microsoft's big reveal, but Windows Phone 7 handsets are coming thick and fast.

Hot on the heels of the LG Optimus 7, Samsung, another Korean manufacturer, has unveiled its own WP7 device in the form of the Omnia 7.

All the details are available on Samsung Russia's product page, but here's the skinny: the Omnia 7 measures 122.4mm x 64.2mm x 11mm and sports a 4in Super AMOLED WVGA (800x480) touchscreen.

A 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 processor should be keep things running along nicely, and it's joined by a selection of connectivity options that include Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0 and Wireless N, as well as a 5 megapixel camera that'll shoot 720p HD video at 25 frames per second. 8GB of memory should provide plenty of room for the latter.

Samsung reckons the Omnia 7 is good for just over six hours of 3G talktime, or 330 hours of standby, but there's still no mention of handset pricing.

At least the handset looks nice, as does the LG.

So, is an Android installation possible on WP7  ?

Buttons would be wrong. Just buy one of the many similarly specced droid phones, such as the Galaxy, Desire, or whatever…

Getting a WP7 handset and then installing Android on it would be one of those pointless fail projects…
