Virgin Media today announced the choice of five new handsets to accompany its excellent value £8.50 tariff, available to new and existing customers on a 24 month contract. The tariff includes 100 minutes and 100 texts with existing Virgin Media customers also benefiting from free calls from their home phones and unlimited* calls to other Virgin Mobiles.

Virgin Media has refreshed its offering to give customers even more choice on this great value tariff including the special edition Nokia 5230 Chrome, Nokia X2, Nokia 6700 Slide** in Silver or Pink, Samsung Monte in Pink or Black and the Samsung Tocco***. With all of these handsets customers can also take advantage of Virgin Media’s mobile internet service for just 30p a day****, so they can browse the web or keep up to date with all of their social networks wherever they are.

  • The Nokia X2 is all about the music and comes with 2GB memory card so there’s plenty of storage for multimedia files. Sporting a five megapixel camera with flash and a dedicated Facebook® app it’s simple to upload photos to share with friends.
  • Nokia’s 5230 Chrome has a large touchscreen and comes with built-in GPS so can be used as a fully functional satellite navigation unit, or just to help find places to eat and drink, coming pre-loaded with Nokia’s Ovi Maps.
  • The Nokia 6700 Slide comes with instant access to a world of apps through the Nokia Ovi store while built-in 3G connectivity provides a super quick web browsing experience and video calling. Available from November the Nokia 6700 Slide will be available to customers in Silver or Pink
  • The Samsung Monte is set-up with dedicated social networking widgets so users are never out of the loop on the latest gossip. Virgin Media customers can also choose between a romantic pink or black colour variant.
  • For a limited time only Virgin Media is bringing back the slim, feature packed Samsung Tocco in silver. Still a strong contender in the camera phone arena with 5 megapixels and handy features like autofocus and face detection it’s an ideal companion for keen snappers on the go.
