Just about all of us would like a solid-state drive (SSD) at the helm of our desktop, but few of us may actually own a chassis that offers dedicated 2.5in drive bays.

Knowing just that, Taiwanese manufacturer RAIDON has launched a useful little product dubbed the SSD Storage Module.

Available in a 3.5in form factor, the SSD Storage Module houses a pair of 2.5in SSDs and slots into any standard 3.5in drive bay - just as a traditional hard disk drive would.

Adding a few niceties to the mix, RAIDON has equipped the unit with ejectable trays for easy access to the drives, and the module itself comes in two unique models. The iS2420 offers all the above and carries a duo of SATA ports for connectivity, whilst the higher-end iR2420 features hot-swappable bays, a single SATA port and built-in support for RAID modes 0/1.

No mention of pricing or availability just yet, but these could be useful to users looking to give their SSDs a home.
