Super Talent's Pico USB drives already come in a variety of flavours - including options for swivel or slide lids, as well as chrome, nickel or gold-plated finishes - but they're now also available with up to 32GB of storage.

The drive, measuring as little as 31.3mm x 12.4mm x 3.4mm, squeezes 32GB of NAND Flash memory into its tiny frame and promises transfer speeds of up to 30MB/s. The first 32GB models will be available in six unique flavours, with prices starting at $85 and rising to $99 if you opt for a water-resistant, hardware-encrypted model.

It's certainly small, but - despite offering twice the capacity - it's not quite as tiny as Buffalo's 16GB RUF2-PS.

At work (in retail) they've now completely moved onto these kinds of USB drives from the old pen style, and as far as I can make out it's been a complete disaster. People look at them, think about the size of a USB slot, then say no thanks and walk out. No amount of telling somebody “it will fit” will help when it looks so clearly the wrong size.

Not to mention that while small is good, when things gets too small they tend to just be a complete pain to own. Maybe these kind of things will succeed in certain areas, but I don't believe that they'll ever take off in a big way.
You also have to make sure they are inserted the right way round. If not then they are just a lump of plastic :)

I have a couple of SanDisk SD+USB cards that are the same as this. and while they are great for me, they do confuse people.
Don't see why they'd be confusing, can see people losing these left right and centre.
