In the past 10 or so Intel Developer Forums we have never managed to get through a keynote whilst retaining an acceptable internet connection. Indeed, the worst situation was at the last IDF, in Beijing, China, where the ‘net was almost non-existent.

Anyway, we would like to award Intel a special cookie since, finally, the behemoth has managed to release - potentially using its terms here - a ubiquitous, pervasive wireless connection which, amazingly, allowed us to keep our mobility and connectivity needs fed for the entire keynote. Heavens above!

Ironically, though, when we all headed up to the press-room all of the connections died and we had to await someone to kick the gateway. Still, however, it looks like we are getting there.

Hopefully we will see this level of connectivity maintained!

Betting ends.
