Tablet-tastic
HTC's tablet offering, the Flyer, is set to get its UK launch in mid April, according to an online price spot.
The 7 inch tablet might not be as skinny as the new iPad 2 but it does include a pressure-sensitive stylus, which is designed to let users annotate emails, documents and web pages.
HTC's Flyer has been spotted on Clove's website [via Recombu] for £600 and the website said it will go on-sale in mid April.
There is also a handful of accessories shown off on the site, including a spare stylus, which costs £40 plus an HDMI converter cable and in-car charger.
It will be interesting to note how well HTC's tablet does up against Apple's new iPad2 and the Android dual-core offerings.
It is thought that early adopters of the Flyer will get a Honeycomb update around 6 weeks after its launch and the tablet will feature HTC Sense optimised for tablet use as well as HT Watch, a video streaming service and a cloud-based mobile gaming service powered by OnLive.
The stylus, which should make note-taking much easier than relying on a touch screen keyboard, also boasts a feature called Timemark that lets users capture the audio of a meeting in line with their written notes, a lot like a LiveScribe smartpen.
The tablet touts a 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (plus a microSD expansion slot) and has a micro-USB port and all the usual sensors - ambient light, accelerometer, compass - as well as GPS, Bluetooth, Wireless N and HSPA.
Camera-wise it boasts a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel auto-focus shooter at the rear.
