Either ASUS is feeling generous, or its starting to feel the heat from netbook competitors such as MSI and Dell.

We're thinking the latter, as the Taiwan-based manufacturer has once again slashed the price of its Eee PC 1000H to as low as $449.99.

The Eee 1000H netbook launched approximately three months ago priced at $649.99, and was treated to a $100 price-cut in late July. Now with another $100 deducted from its asking price, the 10in 80GB ultra-portable makes for a tempting purchase.

Unfortunately, the healthy price cut appears to apply only to US customers. Our friends across the pond can pick up a six-cell model from Amazon.com at the all-new price, but Amazon.co.uk shoppers can still expect to pay Ā£369.99.
