Batman need not ask Lucius Fox to make him a graphics card, as ASUS seems to have done it already.

Pictured below is the ASUS GeForce 9800 GTX+ Dark Knight edition, a card that features a "four heatpipe Dark Knight cooler".

Sadly, other than the flashy-blue PCB - which, we feel, should be black - there isn't a whole lot more on offer. Despite the Dark Knight cooler, the card achieves only reference frequencies - that's 738MHz for the GPU and 2,200MHz effective for the 512MB of memory.

We're liking the branding, though, and we're hoping one of AMD's partners will come up with a competitor - we're rooting for a Radeon HD 4870 Joker edition. Or a Radeon HD 4870 X2Face - get it? Never mind.

With AMD's ‘Spider Platform’ we should be seeing some special edition ‘Venoms’ or maybe some ‘Green Goblins’
Gimmicky & nothing new :( so ultimately pointless really.
high-end 9000 series cards?

who would buy one of those, given they're obsolete?

if you're on a budget, you're gona go for a cheaper card (9 or gtx series), not a high-end obsolete card
