Recently taken up as an all-in-one cooling solution and branded under the XLR8 Chilled banner by PNY, CoolIT System's dual-drive-bay VGA cooler features a couple of blocks that hook up to, preferably, NVIDIA 8800-series  of GPUs.

The radiator box sits inside your PC, taking up a couple of 5.25in bays, and the unit's liquid is ferried from the TEC-equipped blocks around to the reservoir/pump that's located in the box: simple yet effectivel stuff.

CoolIT also manufacturers an ATI-specific design, sans TEC, and will have blocks for the upcoming dual-GPU Radeon HD 3870 X2 card.

Performance needs to be stellar, really, considering the $299 (£200) price-tag that the unit ships with. The GeForce 8800 Ultra doesn't have a whole heap of frequency headroom,  so we're left wondering at the merit of adding a further $300 for, say, an extra 10 per cent performance over highly-overclocked, but air-cooled, Ultras.

We'll have one in the labs in a short while; stay tuned for that review.
