Taipei, Taiwan, August 24, 2010 - RAIDON Technology launches the GR6610-5S-U5, a 5 bay storage solution offering RAID 6 functionality which provides sustained performance via a mini-SAS interface and can be populated with 3.5" SATA HDDs.
The GR6610-5S-U5 is designed for data intensive workflows and security environments. This SAS RAID solution has with a built-in RAID controller and 512MB of internal cache memory under the hood. Supporting up to 10TB of usable capacity in RAID 0 (when populated with 5 X 2TB drives), the GR6610-5S-U5 offers the flexibility of multiple RAID levels of 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD. The GR6610-5S-U5 is a direct attached storage solution featuring a mini-SAS interface offers speeds in excess of 300 MB/s, and supports multi-access along with excellent performance.
The GR6610-5S-U5 features LCD management and a user friendly web GUI to remotely manage maintenance and configuration. The GR6610-5S-U5 is also built with an internal 200W power supply for convenience, eliminating the need for a bulky external power brick.
