London, 5th March 2012 - Humax, the digital TV recorder specialist, is making it easy to enjoy drama, news, sport and films on the go by offering the Tivizen DVB-T Wi-Fi receiver in the UK. Compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Android devices, the Tivizen transmits digital terrestrial TV directly to your smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi, so you can watch your favourite shows while you're out and about.
Turning your iPhone, iPad or Android device into a digital TV is a breeze, so you can keep yourself entertained whether you're waiting for the bus, at the station platform, coffee shop or park. The compact, hand-sized Tivizen receiver weighs just 70 grams and is easy to slip into your pocket or bag, measuring only 12mm (H), 52mm (W) X 92mm (L).
For Apple device users, simply download the free "Tivizen DVB-T Wi-Fi" app from the App Store and then pair your mobile device to the Tivizen receiver using Wi-Fi. Launch the app and a quick scan will bring up a full list of all the TV channels available to view, such as ITV1, BBC One and Dave*. Users of Android smartphones and tablets need to download the orange-coloured tivizen DVB-T Wi-Fi app from Android market, currently in beta.
For both Apple and Android devices, the Tivizen app can be used to adjust the screen size and volume for a personalised viewing experience, and the on-screen menu provides information on the programmes available to view.
In addition to Britain, the Tivizen DVB-T Wi-Fi receiver can also be used to watch local digital terrestrial TV in a number of other regions, including Austria, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.
Graham North, Commercial Director of Humax UK, comments: "The Tivizen WiFi receiver is the ideal compliment to the Humax range, offering more choice in how and when to watch TV and extending the viewing experience outside of the home."
Tivizen WiFi DVB-T receiver is available from the Humax Selection website, priced at £99.95.
