PRESS RELEASE

Amsterdam, 5 September 2018 – Display specialist AOC demonstrates how easy it is for users to boost their productivity with the new mobile, USB-C powered monitor, the AOC I1601FWUX. This 15.6” IPS display also includes a foldable screen cover, which doubles as its stand, either in portrait or landscape mode. The display is connected to and powered by the video source with just a single USB-C cable. This way, a clean, productive multi-monitor setup is possible everywhere you go, without making a clutter of cables and connectors. Experience for yourself how much better it is having a second screen on the road with the AOC I1601FWUX.

Assume you are on a 6-hour train ride or a long flight and you work on your mobile computer on board, only to arrive at a meeting and are still stuck with your tiny notebook screen. While working mobile has become prevalent among frequent business travellers, the screens people use aren’t exactly offering the same productivity as a desktop setup. Larger notebooks nowadays are fitted with 15.6” or 17” displays at the most, and the majority of newer ultra-books are equipped with even smaller displays. Thus, it is a real pain trying to open a full spreadsheet and an email client on the side, or a code development environment with a web browser or preview or output window side-by-side.

The solution is a multi-monitors setup. This is where AOC’s USB-C powered I1601FWUX comes into play. Its Full HD, 15.6” IPS display widens your horizon and gives you a whole new screen area to work with. Having two displays in front of you reduces the time and energy spent switching between programs, i.e. “Alt-Tab”ing. With multiple application windows required for a task opened at the same time, you can focus on the task itself, and the required information is just a glance away, without the need to constantly minimise/maximise or switching between tasks and programs.

Some offices are fitted with only one monitor for each workplace, which is the sole display, or which doubles as a second monitor for a notebook in sectors where users are highly mobile and working in the field. With the I1601FWUX, users away from the office can still reap the benefits of having a second display without any cable clutter and heavy power adapters to carry along thanks to the I1601FWUX’s USB-C connection. And then when they’re back, that additional display is still available for an even larger multi-monitor setup.

For students, having a second, mobile display opens many more opportunities. It is much easier for example to prepare for your presentations by handing over or turning the AOC I1601FWUX to your mates – instead of a projector - while you’re speaking and going through the slides.

A real story on the increased productivity of AOC’s mobile displays revolves around DZH Phillips1, the 18th largest accounting and advisory firm in the San Francisco Bay Area; a location with many high-profile, wealthy clients, who require complex accounting and audit services. The DZH Phillips’ professional accounting experts often work closely with their customers on their critical financial issues, visiting their offices and conducting their financial analyses in the field.

DHZ Phillips quickly realised that during their on-site appointments, the lack of a multi-monitor setup was a burden. Even with the latest mobile devices, there just isn’t enough screen real estate. Comparing and checking legal and financial documents, analysing spreadsheets, drafting financial statements, all this work is notoriously difficult to accomplish when you have only one display to work with.

On the suggestion of their IT department, DZH Phillips equipped their entire staff with AOC’s portable monitors. Kevin O’Conell, Sr. Audit Manager, DZH Phillips, added that this decision increased their productivity by 25%:
“In a world where commuting and remote work are just facts of life, most businesses could benefit from these AOC monitors. And at their price point, they are really great value!”

The AOC I1601FWUX features a 15.6” IPS panel for vivid colours and wide viewing angles, Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, auto-pivot design for portrait or landscape viewing and fast USB-C input for both transferring the video signal and power simultaneously.

The AOC I1601FWUX is available at an MSRP of £199.

On January 1, 2018, DZH Phillips, LLP joined Squar Milner LLP, one of the largest Southern California based CPA firms with more than 50 years of history.
