Taipei, Taiwan (July 26, 2004) – DFI®, innovator and maker of the award-winning LANParty™ motherboards and industrial solutions for applied computing platforms, today announced the worldwide launch of the new LANPartyUT™ series. Extended from the original LANParty family of UV-reactive motherboards, the new line takes this unique user experience to the next level with its unmatched engineering concepts.

Keeping the signature UV-reactive components on board, the UT series aims to please with its rich feature set and outstanding price per performance. Understanding the needs for a versatile hardware platform, this series caters to enthusiasts who are on the cutting edge of technology while still wishing to take advantage of mature standards the industry currently offers. Available in both Intel® and AMD® platforms, the LANPartyUT series offers a wide range of motherboards to choose from.

First in the series is industry’s first hybrid memory solution for the Intel LGA 775 platform. The LANPartyUT 915P-T12 motherboard takes full advantage of the Intel 915P/ICH6 chipset and offers support for both DDR and DDR2 memory in dual channel mode. Users can enjoy the new features and engineering behind the new LGA 775 platform while still save by taking advantage of existing technology. DFI’s new LANPartyUT 915P-T12 is designed to bridge the transition from current memory standard to the next generation high-bandwidth DDR2, thus minimize total cost of early adoption. Users can benefit from technology maturity and affordable price point of the current DDR or position for future adoption of DDR2. Further, memory’s importance in extreme overclocking can now be realized in conjunction with DFI’s new overclocking algorithm.

For the graphic intensive and bandwidth sensitive I/O devices, this motherboard offers support for the latest PCI-Express standard with its 16x slot and 2+1 1x slots. Other advanced features include custom-designed EZ On/EZ Touch power/reset buttons, dual Gigabit LAN (both PCI and PCI-E based) for fast network connection, high speed Serial ATA for slimmer system design and enhanced data transfer rate, USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394 Firewire.

Setting a new standard in high definition audio, DFI’s 8-channel Karajan™ audio builds upon Intel’s new Azalia audio and further eliminates unwanted background noise to deliver the purest sound quality. Reliability of this motherboard is further enhanced with DFI’s new RockSolid stability standard. Using only the best Japanese performance capacitors, non-iron choke and 4-phase PWM, DFI’s new Intel offering is also industry’s leader in unique power circuit design that meets the increased power/heat demand of the new LGA 775 platform. To complete the package, the new LANPartyUT motherboard incorporate DFI’s proprietary CMOS Reloaded overclocking utility and enhances its overclockability by eliminating the 10% hardware barrier to deliver blazing fast computing platform.

The LANPartyUT 915P-T12 is now available through DFI’s worldwide authorized distributors, resellers, and system integrators. For more information on its complete specifications and where to buy, please visit http://www.dfi.com.tw.
