Debuts revolutionary new PT880 chipset with QuadStream™ Memory Architecture and S3 Graphics’ DeltaChrome

INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, SAN JOSE, California, 16 September 2003 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced that it will demonstrate the latest additions to its range of high performance, feature rich platform solutions for the Intel Pentium 4 processor at the Intel Developer Forum that starts today at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

Among the products on display at VIA’s booth will be the new PT880 chipset, which utilizes the unique QuadStream memory architecture to optimize the performance of Intel Pentium 4 processor based systems with its support for dual channel DDR400 SDRAM. Other highlights include the first public demonstration of the S3 Graphics DeltaChrome, a powerful new 8-pixel pipeline DirectX 9.0 graphics controller featuring on-chip Hi-Def HDTV-out and the revolutionary Chromotion Programmable Video Engine, as well as a variety of connectivity solutions such as the new VIA Velocity VT6120 Gigabit Ethernet single chip and the VIA VT8237 South Bridge with native Serial ATA/RAID support.
