Meanwhile the detachable, 25.7cm (10.1”) Satellite Click 10, provides the option of laptop and tablet functionality plus the 36.6cm (14”) new Satellite Radius 14 convertible brings impressive entertainment capabilities as an all-round performer.  The Satellite Radius 12 and Radius 14 signals the expansion of Toshiba’s convertible portfolio to address the growing demand for this form factor and provide for consumers who lead agile lifestyles – and require devices that can adapt to the demands of their day.

Expertise in innovation

Celebrating 30 years since releasing the world’s first[2] mass market laptop in 1985, Toshiba’s newest introductions are the latest examples of leading innovations that enhance productivity and entertainment. The knowledge and experience gained over this period is key to Toshiba’s ability to continue making products that simplify and augment the lives of their users.

As well as Toshiba’s own technology introductions, it’s strong collaboration with partners such as Intel and Microsoft are demonstrated at IFA 2015. The Satellite Radius 12, Satellite Radius 14 and existing Satellite P50t-C/P50-C models all feature new 6th gen Intel® CoreTM processors which were unveiled by Intel at this year’s event for powerful, responsive performance. In addition, the Satellite Radius 12 is the first Toshiba model in Europe to feature the newest Windows 10 functionality including Windows Hello face recognition and Continuum for a seamless transition between tablet and laptop modes. Embracing the new operating system, these features complement the current 2015 Toshiba Windows line up which are all optimised for Windows 10 and include a quick access Cortana[3] button with dual array microphones for excellent audio conditions even in noisy environments plus ultra-fast wireless AC across the range.

Further enhancements to current models are showcased at IFA 2015 including a redesigned Satellite Radius 11 sporting a new smart, hairline design and the inclusion of the latest Intel®  Celeron® and Intel® Pentium® processors. The Qosmio X70-B and Satellite P70-B are updated to benefit from the latest AMD RadeonTM R9 M365X graphics with AMD EnduroTM Technology to maximize gaming and multimedia experiences.

Leading storage, for leading devices

As well as a range of innovative PCs, IFA 2015 will see Toshiba announce a number of advanced storage products. These include five highly reliable internal SATA hard drives for desktop PCs, laptops and consoles, tailored to support a diversified array of applications.

Of these, there are three 3.5” hard drives: the quiet E300 Low-Energy Desktop Hard Drive – intended for everyday use – the High-Performance P300 Desktop Hard Drive – designed to give your PC a powerful boost – and the X300 High-Performance Desktop Hard Drive, made for use with demanding applications such as design software and graphics-heavy games. These are in addition to two 2.5” hard drives for laptop users: the L200 Mobile Hard Drive, and the H200 High-Performance Hybrid Drive – a solid state hybrid drive that also suits console and PC gamers’ needs.

Two new Solid State Drives (SSDs) will also be unveiled. The Q300 Pro is built on 2-bit per cell NAND flash technology, and is ideal for professional users and anyone else who requires an ultra-responsive performance. For those looking for the perfect upgrade from a conventional hard drive, there’s the Q300, which is based on 3-bit per cell NAND flash technology. Both deliver the enhanced speed of a Solid State Drive, and the reliability characteristic of Toshiba.

Toshiba’s extended range of EXCERIATM memory cards also will be displayed. These additions are made up of a new Compact Flash (CF) card, new SD and MicroSD cards, all of which combine large capacity and high read and write speeds, ideal for Full HD or 4K video recording.

In addition, a new SDHC card joins Toshiba’s line-up of TransferJetTM[4] adapters for USB and microUSB ports as well as Lightning ports for iPhone and iPad. The 16GB SDHC card combines Class 10 memory with TransferJet close proximity wireless transfer technology and will enable users of digital still cameras or camcorders to quickly transfer photos and videos to mobile devices such as tablets, notebooks and smartphones equipped with TransferJet adapters.
