When it came to thinking about how Rock Group plc could support one of their most respected charities, they thought pink.

Following the successful 'Think Pink' campaign run in October last year by Cancer Research UK, Rock Group plc, one of the fastest growing UK laptop manufacturers, has confirmed their support for the charity with the launch of a pink Notebook computer.

This month Rock have launched the Pink Pegasus Ti and will be donating a proportion of the proceeds for each one sold to Cancer Research UK.

"At Rock we are all too well aware of the risk of cancer and we have been looking for a way to support research into the disease for some time," said Nick Boardman, Managing Director of Rock Group plc.

"During October when the Think Pink campaign was running we decided that a pink Notebook would both make a statement and allow us to make a significant donation to Cancer Research UK."

The notebook that is available in Pink is the Rock Pegasus Ti. This powerful machine is based around the Intel Centrino processor and offers real desktop performance with all the benefits of mobile communications.
With a 15.4" widescreen display, ATI graphics card and DVD/CD drive, the Pink Pegasus machine is a great all round performer, whether it is movies on the go, presentations or surfing the internet and staying in touch with friends.

Sue Medcalf, fundraiser for Cancer Research UK in Worcestershire and the Black Country, said: "We're delighted that Rock Group plc have come up with this original fundraising idea. The pink Notebook computer looks fantastic and I'm sure it will be a big hit. "We rely almost entirely on donations to fund our life saving research which is why support like this absolutely vital to us."

Rock Group plc is a leading manufacturer of Notebook computers in the UK with a range that features models for home, the office, education and light weight models for travelling with.

During early 2005 Rock will extend the range of machines that will be available in Pink. For more information on the Pegasus Ti and others visit http://www.rockdirect.com.
