AMD IS TOP CHOICE AMONG GERMAN READERS OF PC
MAGAZINE FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW





-AMD Athlon(tm) XP processor selected as
"Product of the Year"- -AMD named "Most Innovative Company of the Year"-





Munich, GERMANY-MARCH 11, 2002-AMD (NYSE: AMD) today
announced that the company has been honored with the prestigious Reader's Choice
Awards of PC Magazine Germany for the third consecutive year. The readers of PC
Magazine named AMD the "Most Innovative Company of the Year 2001/2002" and the
AMD Athlon(tm) XP processor "Product of the Year 2001/2002." The AMD Athlon(tm)
processor ranked number two in product of the year category. In the "Most
Innovative Product" category, the AMD Athlon XP processor took second place
behind the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system.
