Belkin is probably best known for two categories of products: iPod and iPhone accessories and wireless networking.
These still form the backbone of its offering, but Belkin has also been through a period of transition over the past couple of years and national account manager Paul Shenton came to the HEXUS studios to tell us all about it.
The newest product category concerns ‘green' computing, i.e. cutting down on the electricity bills. Shenton shows us an eight socket surge-protector that also allows you to cut the power to six of them in order to not waste electricity on ‘standby'.
Shenton also gives us advanced notification of a new ‘double N+' wireless networking product that incorporates a new ‘n' frequency, which offers users higher bandwidth, but over shorter distances. There's also news of a new FM transmitter product designed with the iPhone in mind.
