Earlier today, ASUS issued a statement on its official Facebook page:

Awesome new features coming in the next Transformer Prime firmware update. Stay tuned!

Whilst the firm did not confirm any of these new features, users on XDA Developers have pointed out that ASUS' technical marketing manager, Gary Key, had recently spoken of firmware update 9.4.2.21, which is to arrive "by March 30th". Based on details clawed from the ASUS Swedish Facebook site, the following list is a hint of what we might expect in the new update.

V19.

New Features:

+ Press-able notification in Lock screen.

+ User is able to check reminder or notification of unread email under screen locked.

+ Upgrade Vibe from v1.0 to v2.0 with corresponding MyLibrary and MyCloud versions - Vibe2.0 improves UI and provides more media content.

New Functions:

+ Support the USB to LAN cable of UX series (Accessory).

+ Camera FW background forced update mechanism - Camera FW upgrade will be automatically installed with image upgrade so there is no need to press the independent camera upgrade icon in the notification area.

+ Support Ad hoc mode (Ad hoc mode was supported in HC but 1st time support in ICS).

+ Keep use's choice of browser viewing type (Tablet or Desktop website viewing type).

+ Enable power profile (Battery information setting).

+ New display mode of HDMI output - Scale mode(Default) and Crop mode (Detail comparison in next two sides).

Nothing sparks as “awesome” in that list of what appears to be general updates.
I think considering it is a free OTA update, any TF Prime owner should be very happy that Asus is moving their products forward in terms of functionality and stability much faster than any other Android OEM. The likes of Samsung / Moto / HTC could learn a lot from the open and honest support that Asus delivers to it's customers along with the timely updates.

One very happy ICS-totting original TF101 owner here…

I'm going to agree with what the president of the UK chapter of the Asus fan club says above…

Joking aside, (and as another very happy TF101 owner), I wonder whether Asus could “back port” any of these TF201 updates to the older ‘101 model. Would certainly go some way to perpetuating the reputation for excellent support that Asus have for their Android gear. It’s that kind of thing that might even persuade me to buy a padFone if the price isn't daft.
Padfone looks like a great concept, but Personally I'd be waiting for “Version 2”…

The Asus TF Fanboi president.
The Prime is an awesome piece of kit anyway and these updates only show that the company is looking after owners , and not just keeping everything for a new model , and i am not a fanboy either, just love gadgets and this is a very good one.
