CES 2008 The Game Developer Conference is due to kick off on Wednesday and we’re expecting some big announcements from the a number of developers, including the Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo camps.

Whilst we wait for the exciting stuff to land, the first piece of news has trickled out of the impressive Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. Aside from Microsoft suffering from an embarrassing episode, after an Xbox 360 demo console unexpectedly suffered from the much publicised ‘Three red rings of death’,it's also been confirmed that Wizards of the Coast, owners of the collectible card game ‘Magic: The Gathering’ has announced a new deal with Stainless Games and Mind Control to bring the game to the Xbox live arcade, PC and Mac.

Admittedly it’s not the most exciting news that you’ll hear this you, but the video below of the dodgy Xbox 360 console may keep you mildly amused, until the cool stuff arrives later in the week.

Haven't the BBC got anything more interesting to film?
