The flashing blue light on your Wii this morning will alert you to the fact that the Virtual Console has been updated with five new retro games added to the huge roster of titles.

First up, there's Alex Kidd in Miracle World, a platform game from the SEGA Master System that was first released way back in 1986. This is available for 500 Wii points.

Next, there are two Commodore 64 titles, Last Ninja and Nebulas, both also costing 500 points.

Finally, there are two Neo Geo releases available, including Ninja Combat and SNK's beat-em up, Fatal Fury 2. Nintendo obviosuly deem these titles to be best ones on offer this week and therefore they cost 900 points each.

If you're a fan of SNK PLAYMORES' titles you may be glad to hear that a compilation of its games, 16 in total, is coming to Wii later this year as a full retail release.

I've had 1000 Wii points in my account for about 6 months. Nothing really interests me at the moment.
