Like the normal Nunchuck, without the wire

You would have thought Nintendo would be the first company to bring a wireless Nunchuck to the market, it's their console after all, but it's actually the Japanese gaming accessory manufacturer, Nyko who will produce the first new line of wireless Nunchucks. The company are set to debut them and announce prices at the Consumer Electronics Show to be held in Las Vegas next month.

IGN has the first pictures and details of the controller, which looks the same as the current Nunchuck, albeit without the lead protruding from its bottom. (if you get my drift).

According to the site: Nyko's Wireless Nunchuck will employ 2.4-GHz wireless to communicate with a receiver module that jacks into the Wiimote's usual Nunchuck port. As the pictures suggest, power buttons on both the receiver and Wireless Nunchuck will turn the connection on and off.

Should free up our hands nicely for a bit of Wii sport's boxing.
