UK LAN gaming organisers Multiplay have colluded with Butlins to bring a massive 1250 player LAN tournament to Bognor Regis in 2006 - the Butlins Computer Gaming Championship, or BCGC if you're a FoA (fan of acronyms). £99 gets you entry into the festivities for three days, plus accommodation. The event takes place between the 5th and 8th of January - a great start to the new year!
With so many attendees, it's no surprise that it's a bring your own computer arrangement. Prizes total over £25 000 in value. Everybody who has a ticket is automatically entered into a draw to win a £17 000 Vauxhall Astra Sport, plus there's a £10k prize in CS 1.6 along with a £6k Battlefield 2 tournament. There's an Xtreme PC exhibition, along with a Fifa X-Box tournament... so safe to say there's plenty to do for your £99 and plenty to win!.
