The brand new official Modern Warfare 3 trailer has finally landed, providing us with an insight into what we can expect when Activision's flagship first-person shooter launches worldwide on November 8, 2011.

We already know that the conflict in MW3 is global, involving the U.K., Germany, France and America all under attack from a cabal headed by Russian extremist Vladmir Makarov. There's some iconic locations featured in the game involving some of the major cities, including Paris' Eiffel tower and London's Big Ben.

An interesting snippet of information from Infinity Ward's Twitter feed also reveals that there's been some drastic changes to the game engine used in Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling commented: "We haven't gone into detail on the engine yet but we've moved beyond the MW2 engine and added a lot of cool stuff for #MW3."

With E3 just around the corner at the beginning of June, we shouldn't have to wait too long for an information explosion. In the meantime, check out the fantastic looking trailer.
