Ubisoft announce Prince of Persia Revelations for the PSP

Yes, yes, I know we’ve known for a while that Ubisoft were working on a PSP version of the Prince of Persia series but they’ve now revealed the title of the game along with a few screenies and some more game info… so here they are!

The story so far… Hunted by the Dahaka, an immortal incarnation of Fate seeking divine retribution, the Prince embarks upon a path of carnage and mystery to defy his preordained death.

His journey leads to the infernal core of a cursed island stronghold harboring mankind's greatest fears. Only through grim resolve, bitter defiance and the mastery of deadly new combat arts can the Prince rise to a new level of warriorship - and emerge from this ultimate trial with his life.

The new combat system makes its way to the PSP and allows gamers to wage battles in boundless ways. Ubisoft say you’ll be able to manipulate the environment and the enemies themselves to develop your own unique fighting style. Plus, an all-new projectile attack system allows for a variety of combat tactics.

There’ll be plenty to explore and conquer as you work your way through what amounts to a breeding ground for the most brutal, unrelenting monsters to torment mankind.

When you’ve got to fight you’ll be able to ravage enemies with the devastating new combative powers of the Sands of Time, and discover new variations in fighting gameplay.

Ubisoft say there’s hours of action waiting for you in your fight for survival, including various bonus incentives for those who finish the game.

Prince of Persia Revelations is set for release December 2005 on the PSP

PoP makes me happy. I just wish they'd worked on a sexy, mystical, persian-feeling Sands of Time, not the bad-rock-guitar gothic americanisation Warrior Within.
