Fencing, trampoline and more

110m Hurdles

There are 10 hurdles to jump
Hold down B to get turbo start
When Go! Appears, swing the Wii remote down and release B
Alternate the Wii remote and the Nunchuk up and down



Athletics – Field (6 in total)

Long Jump

Four players consecutively
Clap to get a good applause
Alternate the Wii remote and the Nunchuk up and down (the faster you shake, the further you jump)
When SPEED LOCKED appears, stop shaking and prepare for the jump
Raise the Wii remote to jump before you run past the takeoff board



Triple Jump

Four players consecutively
Speed, jump timing and strength
Clap to get a good applause before beginning
Alternate the Wii remote and the Nunchuk up and down (the faster you shake, the further you jump)
When SPEED LOCKED appears, stop shaking and prepare for the jump
Raise the Wii remote to hop, then the Nunchuk to step, then the Wii Remote again to jump before you run past the takeoff board



Hammer Throw

Only using the Wii Remote
Press A to begin spinning


Javelin Throw

Alternate the Wii remote and the Nunchuk up and down
When SPEED LOCKED appears, stop shaking and prepare for the throw
Lower the Wii Remote while pressing B + A to throw the javelin before the line

Gymnastics (2 in total)

Trampoline

First try for a 7 meter jump
Raise the Wii Remote just before you land on the trampoline to jump higher
At 7 meters your routine begins. Input the displayed actions by using A, B and twisting the Wii Remote. You’ll lose points for mistakes.



Shooting (1 in total)

Skeet (Clay Pigeon)

Move along 8 shooting positions and hi as many clay targets as you can
Hold the Wii Remote vertically.
To prepare to shoot, press B when the point is in the middle of the heart to get a bigger aiming cursor
Point the Wii Remote to aim the cursor and press B to shoot

Rowing (1 in total)

Single Sculls

When GO! Appears, immediately press the displayed buttons and pull both controllers back to move the boat

Archery (1 in total)

When the Wii Remote Cursor appears, hold A and B and pull the remote back
Hold A and B and use the Wii Remote to move the cursor. At the same time, tilt the Nunchuk to move the Nunchuk cursor. Be careful with the wind!
Release the arrow by letting go of A and B, line up the two cursors.

Aquatics

100m Freestyle

Timing of stamina recovery and speed is key. Press B to build up energy
When GO! appears, swing the Wii Remote down to dive in
Shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to swim:

Crawl – Forwards and backwards alternatively
Breaststroke – Left and right to sides alternatively
Butterfly: Up and down together
Dog paddle – up down alternatively
Crocodile paddle – left right to sides together

Use B to recover stamina
To turn, swing the Wii Remote down as you touch the edge of the pool.

4x 100 Freestyle

Same as above, but swing the remote down and the next swimmer will receive a speed boost after jumping in

Fencing

Individual Epee

Thrust at opponent to score points
Use the Nunchuk stick left and right to move forward and back. Quickly press twice in the same direction to move faster.
While holding A, swing the Wii Remote to perform a parry and deflect your opponent’s attack.
Press B to perform a feint and cause your opponent’s parry to miss

Table Tennis

Singles

The first to 11 points wins. Uses the Wii Remote only. Raise the remote to toss the ball, and swing sideways to serve, and again to hit it back
It will go straight with perfect timing, left if hit sooner or right if hit later
Swing up and down or hold A while swinging to perform a chop (a defensive shot that can return high speed balls but at slower speed.
Hold B to perform a smash. It’s an offensive shot that can return the balls at high speed but timing is difficult.
