Meet Gamucci - the electronic cigarette

We never thought we'd see the day when smoking ceased to be completely hazardous to your health but thanks to modern technology, that now seems to be the case.

Gamucci, an electronic cigarette, takes the disgusting habit and literally cleans it up. The 'efag', as you could call it, contains only water, propylene glycol, nicotine, a scent that emulates a tobacco flavour and a membrane to suspend the ingredients.

According to its creators, Gamucci will "provide users a real smoking experience without the tobacco and tar found in real cigarettes. It looks like, feels like and tastes like a real cigarette, yet it isn’t, it is so much more. It is truly a healthier alternative."

The Gamucci itself consists of a cartridge, an atomisation chamber, a smart chip controller and built-in lithium battery. When activated, Gamucci glows like a real cigarette and inside its cartridge, nicotine is heated and atomised. The result? A tobacco-like vapour for the user to inhale.

Better still, any smoke created evaporates in seconds meaning people around you won't have to put up with the frankly disgusting stench created by real cigarettes.

As always, here's a YouTube video breaking down what Gamucci has to offer:

It sounds quite promising and could be a useful tool for those trying to curb a smoking habit. As Gamucci is non-flammable and doesn't put others at harm, it can even be used in pubs and restaurants.

Prezzybox.com currently sells the Gamucci for £49.95, complete with five cartridges which in total should last about as long as 100 cigarettes.

However, you could save yourself some money and just give up completely. Smoking isn't cool anymore, it's disgusting. If you need help quitting, head on over to the NHS' Go Smoke Free website.

like you said even if it's harmless I wouldn't even bother trying it anyway. Still feels unhealthy to me. Plus I wouldn't want to get hooked on something which is frankly a waste of money.
so if smoking isn't cool any more, how un-cool is this thing?

i'm guessing on a scale of un-cool, we're approching miss teen USA stating her intrests as configuring linux (but obviously never actually chaning the code).
I think I'll try the patches and see if I can get addicted to them instead. ;)
The electronic cigarette is a serious device, and the first that offers smokers a real alternative to their habit. You must remember that although the best course of action is for smokers to quit, some just cannot. The e-cigarette is about harm-reduction and, if successfully promoted, could save thousands of lives. Have a look at the electronic cigarette forum (e-cigarette-forum.com) if you need more information.
A decent little device if it's going to help people, anything is worth a try. I doubt that I'd walk down the road with this in my mouth, but I'd certainly use it at home or when around friends.

Luckily, the news that I had a baby on the way was enough to make me give up overnight.
