PRESS RELEASE

Maxfield Launch World's Fastest Sat Nav System

16 October 2006

Always at the right place at the right time with the ultra-fast MAX-TRACK featuring MAX-Navigator 5

Maxfield is proud to present its first navigation system, the MAX-TRACK. Packed with features that include a 400 MHz speed processor the MAX-TRACK is faster than any other Sat Nav system presently on the market.

What's more the MAX-TRACK comes as a complete package with the MAX-Navigator 5 software (which many Sat Nav systems require to be separately purchased). This provides maps to the entire area of Western Europe the majority of which can be loaded into the unit at any one time.

Its integrated GPS antenna and extensive map database make the MAX-TRACK an indispensable travel companion. It's like having your own personal tour guide wherever you go. The radiant display ensures a great view even in bright sunlight, so whether walking, cycling or driving, you always know exactly where you're going.

Most of the map database comes preinstalled on the accompanying 1 GB SD memory card. Just slip in the chip and you're on your way. The software enables cross-border navigation, so say goodbye to traffic jams and hello to smooth travelling. No more unwanted stop-and-go travel due to overcrowded routes.

The maps are displayed on a 3.5" TFT touch-screen display panel with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. You can listen to the acoustic directions on the integrated stereo speakers or by attaching your own headphones.

The MAX-TRACK's 400 MHz Samsung processor with integrated GPS receiver and TMC antenna runs on the Windows CE 5.0 operating system making it fully future-proof.

A speedometer function also spares your purse and licence points, with this option turned on the navigation system signals an early warning if you exceed the speed limit on a particular section of road.

Besides "door-to-door" precision and convenience, the MAX-Navigator 5 system software even has a home option. No matter where you are, precise directions back home are just one click away.

The maps can be displayed according to your personal taste - either aligned in relation to due North or in the direction you're headed. Getting your bearings is easy with the option of either 2D or 3D depiction.

Route calculation can also be customised by blocking specific streets or indicating a preferred route. You can also save a personalised list of frequently used addresses, providing easy and quick access to regular destinations. The most recent destinations are always automatically available, too.

The MAX-TRACK navigation system is powered by a robust 2200 mA/h lithium-ion battery, but that doesn't detract from the unit's comfortably lightweight form. It weighs a mere 260 grams.

Included in delivery are brief instruction sheets (a detailed manual can be found on the accompanying DVD-ROM), a 12-V charger that plugs into your automobile's cigarette lighter, a car kit holder, a 1 GB SD card with preinstalled navigation software and selected European countries and a PC-USB port SD card reader for customised installation of software and additional map material from the accompanying DVD-ROM.
