The Jabra® BT160 Bluetooth® Headset Gives Users the Freedom to Express Themselves

EGHAM (31 January, 2006) - Jabra, a leading brand of hands-free communication products for the mobile consumer market, today announced the launch of the Jabra BT160 Bluetooth headset, the first headset to come with 33 interchangeable design covers to suit any style. The covers feature a variety of different patterns and colours each with its own name such as Zebra, Leopard, Ladybug, White Orchid, and Red Velvet, and a transparent top cover that can be easily removed for inserting the different designs. The Jabra BT160 is affordably priced at a recommended retail price of £39.99.

The Jabra BT160 gives users the freedom of hands-free communication and the ability to select the design that matches their mood or personal style, whatever the occasion. In addition, users will be able to create their own designs at www.jabra.com to accessorise with their clothing or favourite football team. The possibilities are endless, whether users are wild, sporty or elegant; the Jabra BT160 has a look to match.

“The concept behind the Jabra BT160 was to create a headset that is functional, fashionable and above all fun. With 33 different designs already included in the package and the ability to create designs, users should never get bored with the look of their Bluetooth headset,” said George Tennet, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Jabra EMEA. “Design is an important factor for purchasing a Bluetooth headset and customers are increasingly looking for new ways to stand out from the crowd. The Jabra BT160 provides an easy and affordable way to customise the look of headset than ever before.”

The Jabra BT160 has all the functionality necessary for hands-free mobile communication. It provides up to six hours of talk time, up to 110 hours of standby time and weighs just 16 grams.

The Jabra BT160 features a standard answer/end call button and volume control, both conveniently located on the headset so users do not need to touch their mobile phones when answering calls and adjusting volumes.

By utilising the enhanced functionality offered by the hands-free profile, users can voice-activate mobile phone calls and use last number redial for calling the party with whom they last spoke. Pairing is simple by simultaneously pressing the answer/end and volume controls on the headset for easy connectivity. The headset can be paired instantly with a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and supports Bluetooth 1.2.

The Jabra BT160 is the latest edition to the Jabra family of Bluetooth headsets with an Over-the-Ear wearing style.
